Gastro esophageal reflux can be caused by the opening of the muscle around the top of the stomach because the stomach is being pressured due to pregnancy or obesity. Drink coffee, eat citrus fruits, fatty foods, onions, fried tomato, chocolate or alcohol tends to worsen the disorder because that makes the muscles of the upper stomach to relax and facilitate the passage of acid into the esophagus.

If the symptoms also include weight loss and deposition of black color, it is important to see a doctor immediately to determine if the cause is or not an ulcer. In nine out of ten cases (nearly 100% of duodenal ulcers and 80% of gastric ulcers), the ulcer is caused by a bacterium called helicobacter pylori. This bacterium can be treated with high doses of antibiotics and ant ulcer, reducing both the risk of new ulcers.
Irritable bowel syndrome
