A group of researchers in France has succeeded in modifying the genes of a blood group in the French Blood Establishment (EFS).

The study was led by Jacques Chiron and by doctors Pascal Bialy, Chapel Sylvie and Claude Bagnios, who kept everything under supervision during every stage of research.

What has made the team of scientists from the SAI is to modify the genes of a group through the transfer of these. Changed the blood group is called Kidd / JK which is one of only 30 groups that have been identified by scientists around the world.

Claude Bagnios, about the achievements of scientists noted that the SAI has been accomplished is to change the blood group for a time, creating blood samples from which no “, then, Philippe de Micro, Director scientist at the French Blood Establishment, said that due to the modification of genes in a blood group are now able to make human blood from which the blood group is chosen, but this could be achieved only after about 15 or 20 years.
