Glooms are the type of malignant tumor of the central nervous system more common in adults and its prognosis is extremely poor. Its cause is still unclear.

In summary

Mobile phone use, both short and medium term (up to 10 years) was not associated with an increased risk of developing a gloom.

Has recently attracted considerable interest as to whether mobile phone use is associated with an increased risk of glooms and other brain tumors, but are not aware of the possible and potential mechanisms. It is thought that the energy of the radiofrequency fields emitted by mobile phones would be insufficient to cause malignant transformation through direct damage on DNA of cells.

Several epidemiological studies published to date on this issue have not detected or reported increased risk of using these devices to cause cancer. Some studies, however, have found a positive association between these tumors and the use of a mobile phone.

The authors of mobile phone use and risk of gloom in adults: a case-control study raised the risk of gloom in adults in relation to mobile phone use. To do this, investigated nearly 1,000 adult patients diagnosed with gloom compared with people who had not made this type of tumor, using a type of study we call the cases and controls (patients from this type of cancer compared to healthy controls for this health problem in relation to multiple factors, including the use of mobile phones).

Their results showed that there was no relationship between the risk of developing a gloom and the time elapsed since the first mobile phone use, years of use and the cumulative number of calls and hours of use.

The researchers conclude that mobile phone use, both short and medium term (up to 10 years) was not associated with an increased risk of developing a gloom. This conclusion is consistent and consistent with most studies published to date, but not all.

According to this information, it seems that we can continue talking on our cell phones without risk of a brain tumor!
